"First Love" Ipomoea Nil is a true beauty!
The individual petals separate it from other Morning Glories.
It is beautiful and so far this year, it grows with vigor.
This weekend we will cut back the growth
to encourage more growth and
flowering from the nodes!

This is our progress so far!

Seeds will be available in October from our Etsy store. Also you will find a link below from the original Etsy seller for seeds.

FIRST LOVE

Ipomoea Nil

This Morning Glory seed is new to our gardens. It was purchased on Etsy from Faroceans Garden. We claim no rights to this photo and description and it belongs solely to the seller of this seed. I messaged this lovely seller who like most wonderful sellers offers so much help in germinating her seeds, and she was super helpful.

This is the description of the flower from the ad:

"First Love", Japanese Morning Glory
Pure white flowers with pink center and heart shaped leaves;
Annual and self seeding plant;
Large amount of flowers;
Flowers ranging from 3.0-3.5 inch diameter;
Easy to grow (full-sun; watering when the soil is dry)
45-60 days from germination to flowering;
Keeps blooming until frost.

The seller informed us that this Morning Glory "is an heirloom variety and belongs to Ipomoea nil. It's called 白切咲  in Japan."

We are looking forward to growing this in our gardens!

Seeds to be germinated:

Today, we had to transplant 'First Love' from the peat pot to a six inch pot because her roots had outgrown the bottom of the peat pot. It is healthy, happy and thriving!
